That's Entertainment!

Yes! Entertainment is the spice of life! Everyone loves to be entertained. Did you see the DaVinci Code? How about "Pirates of the Caribbean?" ... or the new Superman movie? People have always been fascinated with entertainment, whether its going to the movies, to a concert, to a ballgame, to a play, to a recital... I could go on. What is your favorite form of entertainment? Be careful now! There could be children listening.

Don't let the domain name fool you. This site is all about hit entertainment, the industries that support it, and the people that make it happen. Movies are just one category that I want to include. Personally, when I go to the movies, I like to laugh... so a good comedy is my first choice, while my wife and daughters may prefer what some men commonly refer to as a "chick flick" which is more commonly called a romance or love story. Other people love horror flicks and the sense of fear they experience, much the way thrill seekers love a ride on a roller coaster. While other folks like the suspense and drama of a good mystery film and enjoy trying to figure out who is the murderer before it is revealed. I suppose we all have our own preferences, but I'm quite sure that there is quite a bit of overlap. So you can see that there are many sub-categories of entertainment just within the movie category.

Celebrities fascinate us regardless of what industry they are in. I suppose we all wonder what makes them different from us... or should I say from the average Joe or Jill? What makes a person a star? What is that star quality? Maybe I have it :) Perhaps its because we've come to expect these people to entertain us.  Isn't that the price of fame? When you're a celebrity you belong to your fans...right? Well... maybe, but I feel the line has to be drawn somewhere. It really irritates me when some of these photographers harrass these people. I mean after all, they are people. Yes we are interested in what they're doing and how they live and we do want to see these people and read about their lives. Maybe that's why so many of us purchase those celebrity magazines... the Star magazine and the Enquirer!

     
Do we actually believe those stories? Ahh??? Maybe just a little. But whether we do or not the stories are entertaining and that's what celebrities are all about. Speaking of overlap and celebrities we all know that talents in the entertainment industry overlap. Here's an example... I'm sure you're probably aware that Nicole Kidman recently wed Keith Urban. Well I don't know if Keith has ever been in any movie (yet), but I do know that Nicole Kidman sang in the movie Moulin Rouge and was nominated for best actress (I'm pretty sure they 
don't have a "best singer" category). Right now Keith Urban is probably the hottest guy in country music and my point is that this site will include Keith, the entire music entertainment industry, the world of Sports, Television, Radio and anything and everything that has to do with Online entertainment or offline entertainment (with the one exception being politics, which I know can be very entertaining at times).
